The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Berks is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Director. The Authority’s primary duties include the administration of federal, state, and local programs related to redevelopment, community development, and housing.
The Deputy Director will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director in leading the activities of the Authority with the potential of succeeding to the position of Executive Director in several years based on an evaluation of abilities and performance. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is included. The requirements for the position include an undergraduate degree or other certification with concentration in Economic Development, Community Development, Business, Public Administration, Real Estate or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in land development, project management, or administration of federal or state grant requirements. The person selected must live in Berks County.
