The PAHRA Legislative Committee spearheads matters concerning legislative, regulatory and funding issues, advising the PAHRA President and Board of Directors.

PAHRA works closely with the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) as well as the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association (PHADA) on federal legislative matters.

PAHRA members travel to Washington D.C. during the month of March to meet with Congressional Representatives from Pennsylvania. This meeting is coordinated through the PAHRA Executive Director and all PAHRA Members are invited to attend and participate in the meetings.

PAHRA also monitors Commonwealth of Pennsylvania legislative, regulatory and funding issues and maintains contact with the Pennsylvania State House and Senate Urban Affairs Committee members and staff.

Legislative Up-Dates outlining activities in Washington, D.C. and in Harrisburg are e-mailed to PAHRA Members on an as needed basis.
